I rated 5 stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐, because it was a stunning and satisfying finale to the Letters of Enchantment duology. It had everything I wanted from a fantasy romance: a captivating plot, a beautiful world, a swoon-worthy romance, and a heartbreaking and hopeful ending. In this review, I will explain why I loved this book and why I think you should read it too.

💗Characters💗

One of the things I loved the most about this book was the character development. Iris and Roman both go through so much in this book, and they grow as individuals and as a couple. Iris is still fierce and determined, but she also learns to trust her friends and allies, and to open up about her feelings. She faces many challenges and dangers, but she never gives up on her mission or her love. Roman is more conflicted and vulnerable, as he struggles to remember who he is and what he stands for. He is torn between loyalty and betrayal, between duty and desire. He is also more compassionate and empathetic, as he sees the horrors of the war and the suffering of the people.

I also loved the secondary characters, especially Attie, Iris's best friend and fellow journalist. She is witty and loyal, and she provides some much-needed humor and support, and her role in the war. I also enjoyed the new characters that were introduced, such as the rebels, the spies, and the gods. They added more depth and diversity to the story, and they had their own motivations and personalities.

💗Pace💗

The pace of this book was fast and thrilling, with plenty of action and twists. The book alternates between Iris's and Roman's perspectives, The book is divided into three parts, each with a different setting and a different tone. The first part is more adventurous and hopeful, as Iris and Attie travel to the west and meet new allies. The second part is more suspenseful and dark, as Roman and Iris are both in danger and in doubt. The third part is more epic and emotional, as the final battle approaches and the fate of the world hangs in the balance.

💗Plot💗

The plot of this book was complex and well-crafted, with many layers and surprises. The book explores the themes of war and peace, love and hate, memory and identity, faith and doubt, and more. The book also delves deeper into the world of the gods, their history, their powers, and their secrets. The book has a lot of twists and turns, some of them shocking and heartbreaking, some of them satisfying and rewarding. The book also has a lot of romance, which is one of my favorite aspects of the story. The romance between Iris and Roman is so beautiful and intense, and it is tested by many obstacles and enemies.

💗Enjoyment💗

I enjoyed this book immensely, and I could not put it down. I was invested in the characters, the plot, the romance, and the world. I was on the edge of my seat, and I felt all the emotions. I laughed, I cried, I gasped, I swooned, I cheered, I sighed. I loved the writing style, the dialogue, the descriptions, and the quotes.

Ruthless Vows is a stunning and satisfying finale to the Letters of Enchantment duology, and one of the best books I have read. It is a perfect blend of fantasy, romance, history, and adventure, with amazing characters, a captivating plot, and a breathtaking world. It is a book that will make you feel, think, and dream.
