In this book, you will meet Natalie, a Napa heiress who needs to get married in order to access her trust fund and start her own business, and August, a former Navy SEAL who inherited a vineyard from his best friend, but he doesn’t know how to make good wine. They agree to a fake marriage that will benefit them both, but they soon discover that they have more in common than they thought. Will they be able to resist their attraction and keep their deal, or will they fall in love for real?

"But love seems more important now.  Don’t ask why. Why? Because I can tell you don’t believe in it. And I want you to”

I rated it 4 ⭐⭐⭐⭐ stars because I really liked it, but I didn’t love it. I thought it was a fun, entertaining, and heartwarming read, but it also had some flaws that prevented me from giving it a perfect score. Here are some of the aspects that I liked and disliked about the book.

💗Characters💗

The main characters of this book are Natalie and August, who have a love-hate relationship that turns into a marriage of convenience. Natalie is a Napa heiress who needs to get married in order to access her trust fund and start her own business. She is smart, ambitious, and independent, but she also feels lonely and unloved by her family, mostly her father. August is a former Navy SEAL who started a vineyard for his best friend, but he doesn’t know how to make good wine. He is loyal, protective, and honorable, but he also suffers from PTSD and guilt. They agree to a fake marriage that will benefit them both, but they soon realize that they have more in common than they thought. They both have to overcome their fears and insecurities, and learn to trust and love each other. They challenge each other, but they also support each other. They have a lot of chemistry and banter, but they also have a lot of tenderness and emotion. They are not perfect, but they are perfect for each other.

I really enjoyed the character development of both Natalie and August. They are both strong, realistic, and relatable characters that you can’t help but root for. They grow as individuals and as a couple, and they show each other their true selves. They have a lot of depth and complexity, and they are not stereotypical or clichéd. They are one of my favorite couples in romance.

💗World Building💗

The world building of this book is realistic and immersive. It transports you to the beautiful and scenic Napa Valley, where you can almost smell the grapes and taste the wine. It also introduces you to the fascinating and complex world of wine making, where you can learn about the different types of grapes, the process of fermentation, and the art of blending. It also shows you the culture and the lifestyle of the people who live and work in the vineyard, where you can feel their passion and their pride.

I really liked the world building of this book. It was detailed and informative, but not overwhelming or boring. It added a lot of flavor and atmosphere to the story. It was a refreshing and unique setting for a contemporary romance.

💗Plot💗

The plot of this book is a classic enemies-to-lovers trope with a twist. It’s not just a fake marriage, it’s also a fake engagement, a fake honeymoon, and a fake family reunion. There are a lot of hilarious and awkward situations that arise from their charade, but there are also a lot of sweet and romantic moments that show their growing feelings. The plot is fast-paced and engaging, with some surprises and twists along the way.

I really liked the plot of this book. It was fun, entertaining, and heartwarming. It kept me hooked from the first page to the last, and it didn’t drag or rush. It was a well-written and well-crafted story that delivered on its promise. It was a delightful and delicious read that left me satisfied and happy.

💗Tone💗

The tone of this book is humorous and lighthearted, but also emotional and touching. It balances the comedy and the drama, the laughter and the tears, the heat and the sweet. It makes you feel good, but it also makes you feel real. It has a lot of humor and wit, but it also has a lot of heart and soul.

I really liked the tone of this book. It was a perfect blend of humor and emotion, and it matched the mood and the theme of the story. It made me smile, giggle, and swoon, but it also made me feel, empathize, and root for the characters. It was a tone that suited the genre and the audience of the book.

💗Enjoyment💗

I really enjoyed reading this book. It was fun, entertaining, and heartwarming. It made me smile, giggle, and swoon. It also made me feel, empathize, and root for the characters. It was a well-written and well-crafted story that delivered on its promise. It was a delightful and delicious read that left me satisfied and happy.

Another thing that I love about this book is Tessa Bailey’s writing style. She is always so humorous and amazing, and she knows how to write witty and sexy dialogue. She also knows how to create realistic and relatable characters that you can’t help but root for. This book was a level up from the previous book in this series, which I also enjoyed. She has a way of making you feel all the emotions and keeping you invested in the story. She is one of my favorite authors and I can’t wait to read more of her books.
